I am the captain at Ottawa Fire Station 12/A Platoon in the Glebe and during the "Covid lockdown break", I brought up how well the event was doing again this year and how the excitement was building in our community. My colleagues asked who were the benefitting charities and what were the rules and before I was done explaining, they were pooling their money and we've been in as a group of 22 ever since. Le mercredi de rattrapage de cette semaine est parrainé par Stefanie Seguin de ‘Twig + Timber Interiors’. ‘Twig + Timber Interiors’ est un studio de design d’intérieur situé à Embrun, Ontario. « Nous nous spécialisons dans le design résidentiel, avec un amour particulier pour les cuisines + salles de bains. Nous avons déménagé à Embrun il y a près de 4 ans, de Montréal, où nous sommes en affaires depuis plus de 17 ans. La communauté locale nous a accueillis à bras ouverts, nous tenant occupés, et nous avons la chance d’avoir trouvé un solide soutien dans cette région !
Nous avons personnellement vu comment le financement communautaire a aidé les enfants et les jeunes de la région, ainsi que le soutien aux familles d’accueil, par l’entremise de Valoris. Étant nous-mêmes des parents d’accueil, nous voyons l’importance de la façon dont le Club Kin de Russell aide ces organismes locaux sans but lucratif de la région, et nous sommes plus qu’heureux d’appuyer le Club Kin dans leurs efforts. »

Nous recherchons d’autres commanditaires hebdomadaires (50 $ par semaine) pour les mercredis de rattrapage. Bien que le Club Kin de Russell lève des centaines de milliers de dollars avec Trouvez l’as, nous ne gardons rien selon les règles de la CAJO. Par conséquent, nous sommes à la recherche d'aide ; en retour, les entreprises / commanditaires seront mis en évidence en direct durant les mercredis de rattrapage, ils auront le logo de leur entreprise sur nos promotions de rattrapage du mercredi, et ils seront mis en évidence dans notre bulletin hebdomadaire (3 400 abonnés). Cette semaine le groupe de travail va à Mike Aupry de la caserne de pompiers d’Ottawa 12/A peloton. Mike écrit : « Je suis d’Embrun et je joue Trouvez l’as depuis une couple d’années maintenant. Je suis le capitaine du peloton 12/A de la caserne de pompiers d’Ottawa dans le Glebe et pendant la « pause de confinement de Covid », j’ai soulevé la façon dont l’événement se faisait à nouveau cette année et comment l’excitation se développait dans notre communauté. Mes collègues m’ont demandé qui étaient les organismes de bienfaisance qui profitaient et quelles étaient les règles et avant que j’aie fini d’expliquer, ils ont mis en commun leur argent et nous avons été dans un groupe de 22 depuis. C’est juste une autre façon d’aider.
