CJRO Radio applies to operate a new bilingual FM community radio station in the town of Rockland.

CJRO Radio has applied to the CRTC to offer the community of Rockland a new bilingual community radio service that will be known as The Beat - CIRC Radio on 96.3 FM. The core of the programming will be in the same format as The Beat - CJRO Radio that is currently offered in east rural Ottawa (Carlsbad Springs on 107.7 FM, Vars and Sarsfield on 107.7 FM) and in Embrun on 107.7 FM and Casselman on 96.3 FM. Local news and community information will be offered on CIRC Radio for residents of the town of Rockland.  There will also be volunteer opportunities for residents interested in producing their own radio shows or podcast. CIRC Radio will also be available online via an audio stream on CJRORadio.com

CJRO Radio a présenté une demande au CRTC afin d'offrir à la communauté de Rockland un nouveau service de radio communautaire bilingue qui sera connu sous le nom Le Beat - CIRC Radio au 96,3 FM.

La programmation sera essentiellement basée sur le même format que celui actuellement offert par Le Beat - CJRO Radio dans l'est rural d'Ottawa, soit à Carlsbad Springs (107,7 FM), Vars et Sarsfield (107,9 FM), ainsi qu'à Embrun (107,7 FM) et Casselman (96,3 FM).

CIRC FM offrira aux résidents de Rockland des nouvelles locales, de l'information communautaire ainsi qu'une programmation locale axée sur les besoins et les intérêts de la communauté.

Les résidents qui souhaitent produire leur propre émission de radio ou leur balado pourront également profiter de nombreuses occasions de bénévolat au sein de CIRC Radio.
