CRRRC releases annual compliance report
The Taggart Miller consortium which was given approval to open a mega-landfill at Devine Road and Boundary Road in 2017, has released its annual compliance report.
Local activist and structural geology engineer Harry Baker has outlined the issues. His quick review comments are:
They say they started construction in 2022? Hardly noticeable.
They are still working on approvals.
As we thought they are vying for a residential waste contract with the City of Ottawa. They have approval to amend their environmental compliance approval to include the recycling and disposal of residential waste.
The Achilles heal of the whole plan - they are still planning to send the landfill effluent offsite for treatment. This will be a big part of the deal they are looking to make with Ottawa.
