CJRO Radio - demande au CRTC pour augmenter sa puissance et changer sa fréquence: 96.3 FM à Casselman.

CJRO Radio a fait une demande au CRTC pour augmenter sa puissance et changer sa fréquence FM de 107,9 FM au 96.3 FM à Casselman.

Si accepté par le CRTC l’antenne de CJRO Radio sera installée sur la tour d’eau de la Municipalité de Casselman.    Ce changement permettra de mieux desservir le village de Casselman et les environs avec la programmation communautaire bilingue de CJRO Radio.   Ce changement était nécessaire car l’endroit ou se situe l’antenne était difficile d’accès à cause d’un changement au niveau du site de diffusion dans le parc industriel.    CJRO Radio fera un investissement de plus de $10 000 pour l’installation d’une nouvelle antenne et d’un nouveau transmetteur qui diffusera avec une puisssance de 50 watts au lieu de 2 watts en ce moment dans le village.   Le changement si accepté pourrait avoir lieu cette automne ou au début du printemps 2026.

CJRO Radio has submitted an application to the CRTC to increase its power and change its FM frequency from 107.9 FM to 96.3 FM in Casselman.   If approved by the CRTC, CJRO Radio's antenna will be installed on the water tower in the municipality of Casselman. This change will allow CJRO Radio to better serve the village of Casselman and the surrounding area with its bilingual community programming. This change was necessary because the antenna's location was difficult to access due to a change in the site's lease.    CJRO Radio will invest more than $10,000 to install a new antenna and a new transmitter that will broadcast at a power of 50 watts instead of the current 2 watts in the village.  This change if accepted may be done this Fall or the Spring 2026.
