The 2026 Photo Expo took place on Saturday, September 19, 2026. Featuring
over 100 of the 225 submitted photos, the event showcased the talent of 74 local photographers. Under the theme “Cultivation,” participants captured unique and special moments within Russell Township.
The jury for this year’s competition included Ruth Egue, from Voix Visuelle; Leah Iselmoe from Global Affairs Canada; and Margo Malboeuf from MASC.
The winning selections were determined after extensive discussion and careful consideration by the jury. Factors included artistic quality, how effectively the images reflected the theme, and the overall experience it would contribute to the exhibition. The selected photographs stood out for their ability to capture meaningful moments, tell compelling stories, and engage with viewers.
